Chemise

For my 1880's bustle dress I ordered patterns from www.trulyvictorian.com.

I started with the chemise. As fabric I use cheap cotton sheets from www.ikea.com. The lace and ribbon I bought from a local textile-shop. The pattern for the chemise was very simple and easy. My only problem is that I don't always understand the english description on the ( Read more... )

Just curious....is that the TV pattern for the chemise? I have the combos pattern so I don't know what the regular chemise looks like.

Yes, it is TV 102 chemise and drawers. I have not finished the drawers yet but will try to take pics of them soon! On the chemise you can of course put lace trim on the sleeves and at the hem, you can also make pintucks and flounces and other decorations, but I chose not to since I don't have time.

The pattern was very easy to work with and would do well for a modern short summerdress or tunic (is that the right word?), or of course you can make it longer. Or just make a lovely pretty nightgown of it!
