I am so jealous that you just read OOTP for the first time! Ah to have a HP freshly read on the mind *sigh* I admire your willpower. I was only able to drag my reading out over two days and that was me showing restraint! LOL

I so wanted to slap him the first half of the book.
First half? I wanted to slap him throughout the entire story! I've a good mind to bank on Neville being the one to kill Voldemort instead. Wouldn't it be a hoot if Ms. Rowling meant for Harry to be a red herring all along? LOL! The only time I liked him in OOTP was when he looked straight at Umbridge and produced that patronus during his OWL exam.
It must be the curse Lucius has me under.
My... Lucius does have you bewitched doesn't he? *grin*
Perhaps I will come to feel sorry for Sirius as well when I reread the book. For an adult he was awfully immature, and whatever respect I had left for him were disintegrated when he kept putting Snape down in front of Harry and egging him to break the rules. I guess not only does JKR have a knack for portraying realistic teenagers, she also does a great job with creating realistic men! :D
