Bloody power outage

Dec 14, 2004 17:48

Gaaah!! I was almost done with a nice, lengthy essay when the power went out on me. I am too lazy to retype everything, but the gist of the entry is about dogs and food.

The much shorter version )

life or something like it, recipes, puppies

We can swap bad dog stories all day long lol. I hope your Rusty has outgrown his food-stealing tendencies by now. ;) Do you ever wonder how on earth the dogs managed to get the Pyrex dish face-up off the table? LOL

The bread was delicious! Even the hubby liked it, and he isn't a pear eater. I had to divide it into 2 batches because my foil loaf pans were the smaller ones. Thank you once again for posting the recipe.... it took me a while to find, and this is going in my Memories! :)

It'd have been better if I hadn't been a tad pour-happy with the soy sauce lol.

This past weekend I made pork roast, and while making the gravy my mind was on something else. As I was seasoning it, I uncapped the pepper and poured (yes, *poured*) it in. :O So I can relate to you on this one well! Sounds like you were able to eat yours, though... :P

Can't wait to see your tree, E!

LOL! That's why I never uncap my pepper unless it's to refill the container! :D So what'd you end up doing with the roast?

Luckily, the roast was edible, and it was juicy enough that we didn't need gravy. But I'm still a "gravy-type" gal and really missed not having gravy! :( At one point I took a mushroom out of the gravy, let it drip off good, then took a small bite, and the pepper was still *completely* over-powering. It was absolutely horrible!! :p

I wish I could tell you why I took that cap off the pepper; I *never* do that with anything except to put salt in the pot when boiling potatoes! Dumb, dumb, dumb...

When I say Slytherin, I really only mean colour-wise lol. You can see the green more than the silver because the silver ornaments catches the tree lights more than anything else. I'll try and hurry with the sorting of the memory card. :)

::longs for digital camera::

Oh yes, must see some pics of your tree! I'm dying to see it. Too bad there aren't any Snape ornaments out there.

Hmm...now I'm wondering how I could make one...lol.

Lookit my Samantha icon! I've been sooo longing to use it and now I can! :D

I wish you had a digital camera too sweetie, so you can show me what your house looks like, and every little thing Alex does. Speaking of which, one of his presents came in the mail today so I'm going to wrap it up tomorrow. *grin*

What Snape ornament are you thinking of making? Other than a phallus shaped one, that is... rotf

Truffles are sacred!

I'll second that! My dogs sure knew what they were going for, the little mutts. ;)

I rather like how the tree turned out, although the silver ornaments tend to reflect the lights around them so you can hardly tell they are there. I'm going to try and take a closeup of Snape and his cauldron. He isn't too pleased about being suspended on my tree, but at least I used black thread! LOL
