Love the way you describe things, how easily Sarah manipulates Alfred and Krolock's nervous reaction when instinct took over for a bit.
And isn't it just so nice of him to hand over Alfred to his son? ;)

I've been on hiatus for a while but the second chapter is already written (merely ironing out the kinks is all, because somehow I've gone and managed to write Herbert like a schizo, lol), so maybe the wait will be shorter than you think? I certainly hope so, anyway, because my muses have been on vacation for far too long...
