It seems some people are just against even the most basic of self-promotion by authors, which is absolutely ridiculous when you consider they have put themselves out to look at an author's page to find out what they are thinking and doing, so this sort of thing is what you'd expect.

Seconded - definitely wtg on keeping calm, cool, and collected. Maybe your question will cause them to realize they either shouldn't be offended, or if they are offended, it's still *your* business and they can just, you know, avert their eyes or something. It's not like you're chasing this person down with a gun and demanding they look at porn. (At least, I should hope not! ;) ) But yeah, that's pretty bleeping ridiculous. I'd be curious to know what they say if they respond ...

Nah, no chasing anyone down with guns or nudie mags or anything. My stamina sucks, it always has, and I just don't like running if I can avoid it.
