The short version is that, due to roughly two years of health problems and associated financial expenses, I am going to run out of money before the end of the year. At this point, I don't even think I can afford groceries for more than a couple of months

I've been asking bookstores for your books for a few years now because I always wanted to read them (after all you are one of my favorite fanfic authors).
Unfortunately, due to our stupid president and entourage, we are experiencing a lot of troubles to get imported stuff (which includes books) so the bookstores aren't willing to import anything that is not a best seller.
As annoying as that was, I always thought I could wait for a better government to succeed this one... I feel bad that you are going through all that and I wish I could help (but unless you can get Argentinean pesos, I can't do anything... unfortunately I do not earn enough money for the government to allow me to buy dollars at present).

I will spread the word and link to your campaign. Hope that would be at least some kind of help.

Spreading the word will help, thank you. And I don't know how GoFundMe handles foreign transactions. I think it does so automatically, but I'm just not sure.

One reason I despise the US "health" system. The only people it benefits are the health insurance companies. One bad illness and a person's life can be ruined. Who on earth came up with the insane idea that health insurance has to be tied in with one's job? *headdesk*

Damn, I wish I had seen this back when you posted it, but I've sent a random amount hoping it will help you out.

This there any place to buy your books from that will give your a higher percentage from them? I've got free shelf space for more books.
