Any recommended "must do's" or "must-see's" in San Francisco?!? Jack and I will be there for a week in June for my brother's wedding.

Yippee!

Gosh, let's see what I can remember

** Walk down at least part of the Golden Gate Bridge
** A fun place for ice-cream is Ghiradelli Square
** Castro district was interesting

I found the Italian district disappointing, but it may just be that I didn't want to spend as much money for lunch as one would have to.

Also I kept going the wrong way on buses, so be careful of that.

Go to City Lights in North Beach! One of the best independent bookstores in the United States.

If you like garlic, you must go to The Stinking Rose, it's this amazing restaurant that all the dishes have mass amounts of garlic and is sooooo delicious. The architecture is amazing there I recommend going on some sort of tour. If you want to venture out of the city you have to see the sequoias,Muir woods is pretty close but the bigger ones are further up north. They humble and fill with awe. Also if you make a day trip to do that you can get out to wine country and hot springs. I went to Calistoga, which was lovely, but there are some more rustic ones further up north. There's always alcatraz which is actually really interesting. You have to go to Chinatown and wander around, it's massive and amazing. The fishermans wharf is a nice jaunt and if you go get a dungeness crab, I believe the lighthouse is supposed to be the best. The one I had there was really good. Riding the trolley cars is fun and will take you right to the museum if you want to learn how they work. Ok I think that's plenty of info. I hope it helps if you have any ( ... )

Go eat at Millennium, a sort-of fancy organic/vegetarian restaurant, thereby allowing me to live vicariously and experience your great trip :)
