Lead the Way - Season 4 Finale
55 weeks ago I posted the very first chapter. I have posted (with a few exceptions) a new chapter every Monday and Thursday for over a year. I have met some awesome people along the way. Some of you have been with me this whole time and I cannot begin to tell you what that means to me.
Others have found various ways to express how unhappy they were when Emily and JJ kept miscommunicating. I take the recent decline in the number of comments as another sign of this. Or maybe it's just that the abduction of JJ at this point seemed boring after I'd promised a happy end.
Well, I need that catalyst for the very last chapter as you will see. As for the rest... *sighs* Apparently I did not succeed in writing a story that would make everyone happy. However, that was never my goal. I set out to prove that even in Season 4 subtext was alive and well. I wanted to show that the relationship between Emily and JJ I so long to see on TV is just as valid a theory as any other.
In the process I learned a hell of a lot! About writing, about characters, about Unsubs and about myself. I can see clearly now, that posting the story was essential and I don't regret it one bit. I know of at least four people who have enjoyed the whole thing and that is three more than I ever hoped for.
As for Season 5... Even if no one read Season 4 I would write it. I can't help it. It's an indescribable feeling and I wouldn't miss it for the world. I will keep posting about the process of writing once in a while, but nothing as regular as this :) You guys are always welcome to give me your opinion. In fact I'd love to hear it.
