A small catch up!
Well... we moved last weekend. It was a pretty gnarly move. It was cold and raining for most of the day and our movers were nearly two hours late which put us behind schedule. With some help from some friends on both friday and saturday we did finally get moved into the new place and the old place cleaned ( Read more... ) -

So... an hour before we had HoneyBoy put down we found out that a few thins were changing with our apartments ( Read more... ) -
Honeyboy ~1999-2011
Today I put my best friend down. He went quietly and painlessly and with dignity. I will miss him dearly. He was the best cat. I am trying to remember all of the good things and good times we had. This morning he ate a little bit of bacon and we took him out on the grass to have a last foray.

After some careful consideration...
There have been too many bad days and not enough good days. He won't get up, he won't eat, he doesn't really react to us... all he does is sleep. I feel horrible. We are taking him in on Friday to have him put down.
My heart is broken and it seems that all I can do is cry. -
Honey Cat
I have had Honeyboy since October 2004. He has been my friend for a long time. We have moved umpteen million times, all over Northern Cali, down to Southern Cali and 3 times in Oregon alone. He has always been there for me. We have had our ups and downs, his hobby of vomiting on my floors and trying to sleep on my head were frustrating at times, ( Read more... ) -
Trip to the Internist...
Well, last night I gave Honeyboy some new food to try (some Hill's A/D and some Trader Joes tuna cat food) and he ate a little. Then he wandered into the middle of the room and laid down and wouldn't get up. He couldn't stand without stumbling and felt very limp. Update on the HoneyCat
Well, he was doing really well. He had gained back about 1/2 a pound over the last couple of weeks. However, in the last 4-5 days even with the appetite stimulant he was refusing to eat. I talked to my vet today and they gave me a couple of choices. We could either try what we had done previously (fluids, injections for antinausea and steroid for ( Read more... )
