Clotheslines - no moving parts, no lint traps, no problems
When I bought my tiny and decrepit house, there was a 5-strand clothesline 20 feet long in the backyard. Someone gave me their cast-off washer and dryer, but the clothesline has been so convenient, I never wired the dryer in. Bees and Mint
Ah, yes - something else I discovered in my yard this weekend.
Bees love mint. L-O-V-E mint! Back in the day, if you built a new hive/skep for bees, you were supposed to rub the inside of it with fresh mint to attract them into it. My crazy mom
My mother quit speaking to me 6 months after I started my Master's degree in Teaching. She is a MARTYR because she had been a teacher from college 'til retirement, and she is afraid I'll let the cat out of the bag that there are much worse jobs than teaching. I skinned a roadkill dinosaur and made it into a coat.
