Thank goodness for that. I couldn't wait for last year to end, i'm so grateful I can leave that part of my life behind me. I wasted a lot of my 23rd year being depressed and hurt, licking my wounds ashamed about who I was, how I felt and waiting for something good to happen on its own

I think it's a cycle thing..

One year is good the next seems to go downhill.. etc

2004 was such a good year! - in rships, with family, socially.. etc

2005 - dropped downhill in so many more ways that one. It was good for one thing; getting my career kickstarted. Other than that it was SHOCKING!

I have to say I agree with your moment of elation come the stroke of midnight. I honestly felt like a weight had been lifted off me aswell.. and I'm already having such a good year :)

As for some other people who had a great year last year - this year is already sucking majorly for them. It's actually quite interesting..

I dunno :) I had a fairly good 2004 I guess, but there were definitely tough moments - the anxiety side of things wasn't pleasant!!!
I'm happy to hear this year is going well for you too! :D *hugs*

Yeah!! I have had a few friends who seem to be having not so great stuff happening to them already :( But that's okay, because I can be there for them!
