Oh, I had something else on my mind, too. I keep thinking about how people say that I act like I'm better than everyone else... and you know, generally think I'm right about things ( Read more... )

yo,

When you headed out? Rhonda has a bridal shower in oceanside, and I'd prefer to avoid a four hour wait if possible. she ahd to be there by 1pm, and I'd pick her up, but if someone is headed down that way....

will check email in the morning.

After checking this the next day, I realize how inappropriate this comment was considering the subject matter of your post.

I blame the three glasses of absinthe.

sorry ;)

Well as far as dealing with what's going on in the world...

For me at least, I am just so busy most of the time that the things that are going wrong arent on my mind. It's those calm times or times where some event is so big it hits you in the face that jolt me back to the world around me. The times I dont deal with stuff well are when it is things that I cant control.

I guess if I have one cheesy but true piece of advice, it's that whatever makes you happy, hold on to it and focus on it. Remind yourself of it constantly.

And I always have ears for listening. So whenever you wanna talk, I'm there. And regardless of it all, I love you dearly.

Best,

Rita

I'm pretty sure people who are happy with their existence are either old, and thus finally matured enough and searched enough to find what the hell they want, or are lying to themselves because they're too weak or too stupid to hurt.

Thusly, since you are not weak or stupid, you must be a regular ol' person. Too smart for your own good to accept the paltry offerings before you.

Don't worry though, I'm still depressed, and we can eat cookie dough together, and make that weird Japanese braiding thingie, and watching Space Above and Beyond. And maybe some Firefly. Because the world is always better with Firefly.

we are so watching space above and beyond when you get home.... or playing betrayal... that would be cool too.

Yeah... firefly does make things better... but I don't know if it would make me sad again, because I always remember that there's not many episodes and you know... the thing. I still remember the thing.

*hugs*

B-but Vonne, if you aren't confident in your rightness over things, my world will CRUMBLE. If Vonne isn't right, then who is? If she doesn't know everything, then I know nothing! OH GOD THE WORLD IS DISAPPEARING AROUND ME. AHHH IT'S ALL A SHAM. Is that...a rabbit? At the helm of a ship? Wtf? AHHHH!

Either way, didn't mean to give you a complex. It's just...well...you're the opposite of me and my "I don't know aaaanything...oh well maybe you're right even though it goes against all my knowledge and convictions...use me as your doormat suure."

Either way, I'm depressed too! And in an amazingly bad way. And now I'm terrified of the notion that I've given you a complex. BOOO ME.

I'm not saying that I don't know I'm right... of course I'm right. And I agree that my rightness holds the fabric of space and time together... don't worry, Suzi. I won't let a little reality get in the way of my personality...

*Hides in a corner with the cat and pretends to be miserable*Um >_> Yes, I'm probably blinding myself to the truth, but you know what? I'm totally with, uh...wossname from the Matrix. Ignorance is bliss. (though I wouldn't have ever gone so far as to betray my capitan to gain ignorance >_> And now I feel guily for being happy and content. Fuck, man.) *Shrug*And anyway, it doesn't matter what other people think of you, the people that actually know you well enough to care will recognize that confidence as part of your personality. For whatever reason, our culture rejects confidence and prefers to view it as being pompous and egotistical. But really, they can go fuck themselves. It's the same kind of situation that we were discussing about the whole "house-wife/stay-at-home-mom" thing last night. Society looks down on it, but there's no reason for it too, and it's actually damaging that it does. So give 'em the finger and keep doing what you're doing, 'cause they're just jealous anyway.
