Sitting at school, watching Twin Peaks or the XFiles and knitting. The race to sign up the TV for XFiles the next week. Discussing Mulder, Scully, and Krycek, and arguing over who was the hottest. Or sitting on your floor and drinking the port that you kept in your closet. Eating pizza and drinking beer sitting on your floor (again) when Alex and Mike were in town. Listening to the mix tape you made me and thinking of the way that you would walk around on campus (distinctive stride!). So many memories, and all just make me miss you!!
I remember waiting in your appartment for some of the peperoni bread in anticipation. I believe that was also the night you introduced me to iTunes which I knew nothing about.
Man, does it need to be a single memory? I guess that we became friends more than ½ a lifetime ago, and that makes it hard to choose…esp. as I consider you to have been one of my closest friends during two completely separate times of my life (Winsor & NYC) &, ultimately, of my life thus far.
From Winsor Days: the CALF plant sale, hours upon hours of reading/discussing L.M. Montgomery books & My Brilliant Career (speaking of which, I’ll never forget your Sybylla costume at amadea’s literary character party, even tho’ I haven’t the faintest recollection of who I was! I remember BJ was Holden Caulfield…who the hell was I?!??), confessing My All-Consuming Crush on one particular RL boy during chemistry class, baking stuff & making fun of dumb sheep at the farm, biking around Millis, pestering you in the photo lab (because I wasn’t cool enough to take photography myself) & your sneaking a photo of aforementioned All-Consuming Crush object during assembly (or, as those wonderful Winsor schedule cards said (& probably still say!), "Asssembly

I remember you consoling me at one of the long tables in the dining hall when I was whining about being too stupid for Smith. You told me that it was normal to get Bs at Smith and that a spunky italian-american girl like me is way too cool to let that get to me. I also remember when we first met and I was worried that you would hate me because I grew up in Dover. "Don't hold that against me!"
Tee hee. That is my first memory of you too! I came to your room, pointed at you and said "You're fro Dover!". Then you hid your head under your arms and said "don't hate me!". But you needn't have worried- I could tell within a few minutes that you were a nice little Italian girl and not a WASP Dover snob. And of course, this whole thing meant we had our first inside joke within 10 seconds of meeting eachother.
