The test did register you as left of where I thought you'd be. I'm surprised that I register as more libertarian than you. I believe in and support big government.

I like crown corporations because competing companies have to maintain a reasonable standard of service. Living in Ontario I fantasize about having Sasktel as my service provider. Reliable service without be gorged. I hate rogers, I vehemently detest Bell. I would do voodoo to Bell if I could. Sasktel is the model for crown corporations. It is actually run at a profit, but only on not essential services like cable and long-distance where it faces competition.

I came out about halfway between you two, but I found several of the questions very hard to answer because my stances on most political issues are often complicated and mixed. For example, I think that getting married is generally better for people than living together without getting married, especially when children are involved, and that some people shouldn't reproduce (ex. people with serious genetic diseases are better off adopting than passing on their affliction), and that the number of abortions should be minimized as much as possible, and I'd love to see entertainment media stop competing to see who can be the most vulgar, violent and immoral, but I don't want to see any of those things enforced by the coercive power of the law. Similarly, I think hate speech and morality shouldn't have their own laws but instead should be covered by existing legislation for slander, libel, inciting violence, assault, etc., but I'm not sure whether that means I agree or disagree that they should be against the law.
