There were these people on the Metro this morning apparently going to an anti-war protest.  I hate the Iraq war as much as anyone, but I wouldn't get on the Metro at 6:30 to protest--I'm only on there at that time because I have to earn a living.

I just came across two lawsuits by women who worked for a judge they saw masturbating and peeing in his trashcan in the middle of hearing court cases.  Makes you think twice the next time you watch People's Court.

Why is Livejournal reminding me that my own birthday is Friday and asking if I want to send myself a gift? 

So yesterday at work some pipe burst down on one of the floors below me.  Someone who went down to the very bottom floor said it was "raining."  So apparently the answer to all of this was to shut off the water and close down one of only two stairways, while keeping us all here for hours under these conditions.  We couldn't use the bathrooms during ( Read more... )

Can somebody tell me why Kaz randomly took the day off, traded in his beloved truck for a PT Cruiser, and then acted like the whole thing was no big deal?  "It is what it is" was all I could get out of him.

Montpelier is just too damn small for a wedding--and I apparently have more friends than I originally thought.  So I've decided finally on my first choice, the Newton White Mansion (see pictures in previous posting).  The date will be July 25, 2009, and anyone who complains about the heat will be whacked on the back of the head by a designated ( Read more... )

Apparently the entire world is having their wedding at the Newton White Mansion, which is understandable given that it's gorgeous and they tend to be in the business of doing people's weddings. I need some positive feedback and encouragement here.  Every place I look at that I think would be nice for a wedding I've got Kaz telling me it's too expensive (even though he's not paying for it) and my grandfather telling me it's too stupid.  It's like they're systematically killing my dreams.  That's not really what a future bride is supposed ( Read more... )

We went to a place yesterday on the Chesapeake Bay that wouldn't been perfect for a wedding, but basically the entire tour was the woman telling us that we don't have enough money or enough guests to make us worth their while.  It all became quite clear afterward when Kaz showed me the Rolls-Royce out front--compare that to the Dodge Neon we drove ( Read more... )
