I have survived this week. I have two more weeks until finals week. I might actually make it and I might actually do well. I have been relistening to the lectures I didn't understand the first time around. I am done with Contracts II and am now moving on to Torts II ( Read more... ) -
Mario Batali is love!
I picked up Mario Batali's cookbook Molto Italiano. Holy crap...I was looking for something to spice up our really boring weeknight dinner routine. This book it is! OH man, great recipes for rabbit, octopus, lovely vegetable dishes, flank steak....I have to cook so many things ( Read more... ) -

on the topic of gauge
So, this one time I figured my gauge on the new blanket that I was casting on would be 3 stitiches per inch. I wanted about an 80 inch wide blanket. So I cast on 240 stiches, so I could have my 80 inch blanket. Before there was a raw_tofu livejournal, there was a lame_johnny_mop livejournal. Alas, one day I found myself needed to withdraw from my journal and its community because I needed to figure things out without other people's input. I ended up deleting it and starting raw_tofu. chipped beef and toast
I made chipped beef and toast using rehydrated beef jerky and white bread. Not my normal way of making it, but it was delicious! -
its a zombie kind of day
I feel like today deserves to be spoken in a zombie voice:
Must take shower
Must do errands
Must not forget cat food-both squishy and crunchy.
Must go to work
Must eat last 2 cookies
Must learn the difference between slander pro quod and libel pro quod
(Somehow the zombie voice doesn't work so well on that last one) -

Pistachios, golden raisins, and chocolate chips are fabulous in oatmeal cookies. Just sayin.' -
Week Nine, Semester Two
So I applied for a part-time unpaid internship here about ten minutes from my house. It would be five minutes, but our streets are laid out wonky and you have to go all the way around town to get to this law office because its on a one way street going towards my apartment. I had a lovely time last night. A young friend of ours finally turned 18 and we went to the BBQ place across the street for dinner. The resturaunt did a very nice job with our large group.
