[Isabella clears her voice before tentatively speaking into the comm, her voice soft and dripping with grief and remorse. There is a pause; she's scrambling for the proper thing to say. But years of training and decorum have not prepared her for this.]

[Isabella didn't miss that cool, neutral tone in Bryn's voice. Was Bryn considering her offer? Isabella wouldn't blame her if she was.]

[Bryn arrived five minutes later, knocked firmly on the door Isabella had indicated, then tucked her hands into the pockets of her shorts. It seemed best to keep them there because she had no idea what her gut reaction would be once she saw the vampire again.]

[Isabella moves to open the door, standing back, out of arms reach of Bryn, so that Bryn does not feel threatened. Her very body language screams of self-defeat, and her head bows to the shifter.]

[She wouldn't blame Bryn if she didn't.]

Hey, you know, I could have phrased what I wanted to say better. Its a touchy subject with me, though, so...

[She heard that pseudo-apology, King. She's grateful for it.]

Contrary to popular believe, I do not like killing anyone. Although I am less reserved when the victims are deserving. People such as myself.
