Because some of you, republicans and democrats alike, need to be reminded that while we're sitting on our asses at home staring at a computer screen and debating strange lumps and bad politics, there's a war going on out there where real people are risking their lives, once again, for freedom.

They aren't exactly fighting for freedom. More like fighting for a bunch of reasons that only a handful of idiots really know. Bring 'em all home as soon as possible, because they've done the job they set out to do. Now they're all just in danger and need to be back where they're needed - being with their families and friends.

Comlpetely for the kittens.

Seriously, GWB is a moron and doesn't know what he sent the troops there for. Read "Dude, Where's My Country?" by Micheal Moore. It really opened my eyes about the war and the surrounding events.

Eeep...I didn't warn you. I'm a Republican and I hate Michael Moore with a passion (but, ironically enough, not because he's Anti-Bush...I've hated him since Bowling For Columbine). Everything I've seen or heard that idiot extremist say has been, at the very best, a twisted variation of the truth, omitting real facts and inserting "maybes," twisting words in order to make them says what he wants them to say ( ... )

hey no worries.

I am not really one for government. I mean, I do pay attention as to what is happening in my government and what is going on around the world, but I really couldn't care less.

The good thing about being Canadian is I don't have to vote for either of the two bums. I just have to worry about which bum to vote for in Canada.

LOL, yay for being Canadian! Although I must admit, in Michigan (where I live, about fifteen miles from the border) Canadians tend to get teased mercilessly. In a good way though, I promise. :o)

You're lucky. It's like choosing between two evils...one who has a more-than-likely-shitty-plan and one who has no plan and Really Ugly Hair. >.

dunno how i missed this before...

>>there's a war going on out there where real people are risking their lives, once again, for freedom.<<

I'm just really hoping you know it's not our freedom we're fighting for. I don't understand why so many people think that...

'Course it's not ours. It's the Iraqi's.

& i'm sure the iraqi's are so glad that their freedom is being fought for. yes, the mindless murdering, bomb-droppings & oh, yes - the rape of their land really gives them that freedom.

& i mustn't forget to mention what a great job america is doing giving the israeli people their freedom. who cares about the innocent palestinians who are slaughtered at the hands of american money! did you know more money is spent on israeli's than the american people?

seriously, i sit here & just wonder what right america has to exert their power onto countries that have absolutely nothing to do with them. you'd think something would've been learnt from the cold war.
