The more I think about it the more I realize I probably would have made a damn good doctor. Specifically, I think I would have made an amazing surgeon. It's definitely a profession where perfectionism is a good thing.

Unfortunately, medicine never interested me outside of genetic research. I always have been too squeamish.

Anyone here a vegan? I'm wondering how difficult it is to truly give up dairy. Not so much in your own home where you have control, but at restaurants and social gatherings where ingredients are more of a mystery. It seems like you'd have to give up desserts entirely, which I think would be my biggest weakness.

I'm sorry, but this is pathetic and one of the many reasons I hate Facebook.

I hate the trend in our culture of crucifying someone over one action. I reluctantly accept it with spokespersons for obvious reasons, but it's ridiculous in this day and age you can be fired on the spot for what amounts to a slip of the tongue or failing to articulate yourself in a perfectly political correct manner. Well, I made the "mistake" of going to see the Siamese at Petsmart. (I knew it was highly likely I was going to want to take a cat home today.) He is an absolutely stunning cat and ever so sweet. I've started to inquire about kittens at shelters and I have to admit it's a little bit frustrating. I've always been given the impression shelters are overcrowded and desperate to find homes for their animals. I've inquired about at least three different kittens now at different shelters.
