Well, I'm not sure what's going on with Fluffy. He's lost a LOT of weight, or muscle mass, or both. His hip bones protrude, you can feel every detail of his spine, he feels like nothing but skin and bones when you lift him. I know it's been a while, but nothing's really changed other than the tumor continues to get bigger. It's taken over almost his entire lower jaw and, from what I can tell, has started to move up the side of his face too. I didn't realize it'd been so long since the last update. Well, there's been no change for the worse other than the tumor has definitely grown. I jokingly refer to him as "the Jay Leno of cats". Fluffy seems to strangely be doing better. He's had a very sudden change in mood. A day or two after he was cowering from me and wouldn't let me touch him he started acting like his old self. Well, Fluffy had his stitches out yesterday. The vet said he's healed up nicely. She also said that he hasn't lost anymore weight and probably what I'm noticing is loss of muscle mass, which would make sense since his activity level has plummeted. He just feels so tiny now. Well, the vet called and the news isn't good. Fluffy has squamous cell carcinoma, which they believe began in his gum tissue and has since invaded his jaw bone. The only "treatment" is radiation, which is a $3k-$5k procedure that would, frankly, put far too much stress on Fluffy (let alone being completely financially infeasible). Well, thanks to Paypal giving me the run around the earliest I could get Fluffy into the vet is this upcoming Wednesday. The vet is still giving me worst case scenarios though, which isn't very comforting. She says if the alleged tumor has invaded his jaw bone that she can't even remove it because it may break his jaw ( Read more... )

Well, Paypal is still putting me through the ringer. I've now had to send them a copy of one of my bank statements and, frankly, if that's still not enough for them then I'm just going to find out how to return everyone's money because this is BS.
