Oh man, that is quite sobering.

OTOH, if it gives you freedom and independence (and the chance to move out of your mother's house) then NOT so sobering! Plus, you can decorate it. If I had to use a wheelchair, I'd put bicycle streamers on the handles and get my friends to make things to stick on it.

Hope that helps?

I'm sure it is hard to accept that you need some help just to be able to move around. I'm still angry at the stupid doctors for not noticing it sooner, maybe it would have helped! I guess you still are too but I'm sure it's time to move on and it's good that you are.

Sending you my love and a hug. I can't imagine how this must feel, but I can tell you how strong you are and how much admiration I have for you.

Hang in there.

things seem to have moved so hard and fast for you :(

such decisions are hard - not just on the surface but because of what they signify too...

deciding wether to 'go with it' or fight against it all is so hard and something I still haven't mastered. but it sounds as if that decision has been taken out of your hands. I wish I had wisdom to share.

but as ever, the offer for private chat is there if it might help - even if only to rant.

I just want to say I commend you for making the decisions you've had to make lately. This has been a lot to deal with and I can't even begin to imagine what you're feeling.

The great thing here is that you're dealing with it and no longer wanting to stay trapped in your home. You're being very pro-active about it and that deserves a lot of kudos.
