Editor, - I am saddened by the misuse of the Latin abbreviations 'tds' and 'tid' which today are almost universally used for 'three times daily'. In Latin (and in common usage through my career) 'tds' (ter die sumendus) translates as 'to be taken three times a day' (sumendus = to take). Hence ' ( Read more... )

I've been thinking about this a lot for the past few weeks.  It's so difficult adjusting to a new environment.

The 2-month long vacation that ended so suddenly...sniff sniff...

That was the longest Manila to Melbourne flight ever, due to the fact that I chose Cathay Pacific this time.

Pros:
- Airfare cheaper than PAL by $200 if leaving before Dec 4, 2008 (I left Dec 3)
- Nice, comfortable seats that can recline without disturbing the person at your back, and ( Read more... )
