Last week I was home in Texas for a long weekend. This was the view of our back porch on Tuesday afternoon. (Note the pup snoozling in the sunshine between the slats of the fencing!)

Oh baby those are beautiful piccies!!! Are those Texas bluebonnets in the first pic?? (am foreign so no idea, pls to forgive).

I like the snow. Being brought up in South Africa, after 8 years in Scotland it's still a novelty for me.

The purple flowers are on a Mexican sage bush, which is actually about 4' x 4', though you can't tell that from the picture. It has been blooming since May (planted in March), and it is gorgeous! Here in Bryan skies are clear and it's about 60 degrees.

I *hate* cold. I don't mind a snowy day, as long as I don't have to go out in it. You have my sympathy.

Did you get a freeze overnight? I understand that in Kerrville, the potted herbs had to come inside for the night in anticipation of 32 degree temps!

The snows all gone today, but it's still several degrees below 40. That's too cold for my blood!

That's too cold for me too! We did get a freeze and I brought my plants in, but now we're in a warming trend and, for the next week at least, no more freezing.
