My dogs just realized that there are birds massing at the bird feeders on the back porch. The feeders and the birds have been there for more than a week. The dogs have been in and out the back door dozens of times while birds have been present and have been completely oblivious. At this moment, I have two spaniels peering out the glass of the back

A good guess. I *did* recently re-fold and stack all the things on my closet shelves. However, yesterday's science involved drains and hot tub chemicals: I managed to plunger clear the shower drain after Mr L_A had failed with 3 separate Draino treatments, but the hot tub PH remains wonky, which means I can't go in unless I'm willing to suffer a nasty, itchy rash. (Of course, it never afflicts Mr L_A because life is completely unfair like that.)
