This century plant lives at the corner of my driveway. It is sending up a flower stalk, which horticultural sites tell me may reach 30 ft in height before it blooms. Currently the stalk is about 8 or 9 ft tall and resembles nothing so much as a giant asparagus ( Read more... ) -

Poetry Month
I'm not doing well if my intention was to post a poem every day. I think I'll decide that I never meant to keep such a pace! The poem for today goes behind a cut because it will fill the screen, and would break the uncodified etiquette of the flist. I don't mean to be pedantic, but...
I've subscribed to LJ's handy email notification service to tell me when certain folks post something new. I love getting those emails: they send me scurrying to my flist so I can check out what X or Y has just written.
