To go along with the Austen post yesterday, my favorite costume drama used to be the BBC version of "Pride and Prejudice" with Colin Firth.  Stereotypical I know, but I can at least say I'm not obsessed with that famous scene of Darcy diving into a pond because he's so distracted by Elizabeth and needs to cool off by taking a swim.

So I just finished reading T's copy of "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," and I find it full of faults (not limited to the illustrations that put the ladies in period dress about 100 years after this is supposed to be taking place).  However, if you read it just for the pulp fiction value, its actually rather entertaining, in a cheesy, titillating ( Read more... )
