Hello Everyone!
Not much has changed in life so not much to say.
- I am still trying to create a new website and learn new software (I gave up on learning Drupal and am now trying Wordpress). It is killing me that I cannot update the website with my new location or say that I am now taking orders again!!! AAAAARGH!

I am still here....
Been working long hours and braving the arctic tundra that NYC has become. (we had another 19" of snow last night!)
I haven't much to say, just wanted you all to know I am still around... reading and posting when I can. -
Costuming year in review - 2010
Wow did this past year go quickly! It seems like yesterday that we were all posting our year in review posts of 2009.
My 2010 started out with a bang and I was incredibly productive for the first 6 months or so. Then I got frustrated about my apartment not selling and all my stuff being packed away. In the second half of 2010 I concentrated on ( Read more... ) -
LaraCorsets is not taking any orders until further notice
I have accepted a more then full-time job (50-60 hours a week) which will last through the Fall of 2011.
I am also selling my home and preparing to buy a new home and move in 2011.
I am very sorry but I cannot accept any orders until further notice. -

Must get it all out of my house! (and make some money too)

Name that seam type, help!
I am trying to describe a type of seam in writing up the details on how an antique corset was made. I cannot for the life of me identify what the name of this seam type is called and it would make my life so much easier if it had a name. Help, please! An antique corset from 1919 for you all
I just finished adding all the construction details to the web page for this one. A special treat for me was finding this corset in the pages of one of my antique corset catalogs. I really LOVE when I can date a corset exactly!

A personal pet peeve of mine...
....are sellers who knowingly disobey the rules or misrepresent an item.
There is a particular e-Bay seller who lists their corsets in the antique & vintage clothing categories. I have nothing against their corsets but they are new, not at all vintage or antique. They routinely list dozens at a time, spamming the category. As an antique garment ( Read more... )
