Summary: Kimi is pregnant. It's Seb's fault.

Disclaimer: This is fiction. All in my head.
A/N: Started as little tidbits for the drabblefest on motorskink. Grew from there.

“What do you mean you’re pregnant?!” Seb exclaims during the drivers’ parade.

“Pregnant. Sperm meets egg,” Kimi explains as he gestures along. “Happens when two peo-“

Seb elbows Kimi in the side. “I know what pregnant means,” Seb hisses between his teeth so no one would hear. “Why, how, are you pregnant?!”

Kimi gives him a mischievous grin, the kind that always makes the press wonder what he’s up to. “You couldn’t wait to get back to the hotel. Not my fault you were too horny. Told you I had no condom.”

Seb blushes. He remembers that time. He hadn’t cared the least bit about the condom. All he had wanted was to be inside Kimi, to feel his tightness around his cock. He was still on an adrenaline rush from the race. Seb shakes his head to clear his thoughts.

“Not what I meant. How can you, man and all, be pregnant?!” he whispers.

Kimi shrugs before waving to the crowd. “Doctor tried to explain. Was boring, I didn’t listen.”

Seb looks at Kimi with wide eyes. Only the Finn would shrug away a male pregnancy. Typical Kimi. “So what are you going to do?” Kimi turns over to him. Seb can’t be sure because of Kimi’s sunglasses, but he thinks he’s confused. “Are you going to keep it?” he clarifies. By the way Kimi’s mouth drops open a bit and how he hunches over the float’s railing with a sigh, Seb can tell the thought of ending the pregnancy crossed his mind before.

“Yeah, if you’re okay with it,” Kimi offers, throwing signed caps at the fans. Seb stops mid-signature. He never realized he had a say in this. He figures it makes sense. It’d be his kid too after all. His face goes white at the thought. He’d be a dad. His knees buckle a bit and Kimi quickly grabs him by the arm to prevent him from falling; that would just lead to too many questions.

“Why did you have to tell me here?” Seb whispers as he regains some color in his face.

Kimi turns around and grins widely. “You can’t yell at me here. People are watching.” Fucking Raikkonen, Seb thinks, then he facepalms himself. Bad choice of thoughts. Fucking Raikkonen is what led to this in the first place. A kid, Seb ponders. A kid actually sounds pretty cool. If Kimi of all people is ready for one, why shouldn’t he be? They would be the coolest parents ever. He’s not sure how or when they’d tell people about their relationship, but it’s not like it would be a first. There are tons of famous gay men out there doing just fine. The pregnancy part would be a bit trickier to explain, but it’s Kimi. He’d turn into a cat and people would just roll their eyes, laugh, and be like: It’s the Iceman, he knows what he’s doing. Seb is really glad he’s not the pregnant one.

“Okay.”

Kimi takes off his sunglasses and looks at Seb seriously. “Okay? You sure?”

“Yeah. I’m sure. Let’s do this.”

When Kimi opens his hotel room, he’s surprised to find Sebastian standing over a desk, arranging a number of items.

“Seb?”

“Oh, hey Kimi!” Seb greets, not bothering to explain his presence and throwing his arms around Kimi’s neck and kissing him.

Kimi scans the room and the items Seb placed on the desk. “What are you doing?”

Seb grins widely at him. “Brought you a few things,” he excitedly explains, “there’s this book my mom recommended, I found a copy in English, hope that’s okay, then there’s -“

“Your mom knows?” Kimi asks, eyebrows raised.

“Ja, she’s very happy. Gave us a card too, I’ll show you later,” Seb continues on, his enthusiasm making Kimi smile. “So yeah, book, ah, then vitamins, you have to take these twice a day, don’t forget.”

“Yeah yeah,” Kimi agrees as he looks into the minibar, only to find there’s nothing but water and juice in there, and he groans as he slams the door shut.

Seb turns to him, shaking his head, “I got them to take the alcohol out so you wouldn’t be tempted. It’s bad for the baby, you know that.”

Kimi growls and goes to lie down on the bed, tuning out Sebastian and playing on his phone instead. Seb notices not long after and hops on the bed next to him.

“I’ve got this app too, it’s really cool; you should get it. It tells you what the baby is like every week and what kind of symptoms you can expect,” Seb tells him.

Kimi looks up at him with a smirk. “Is getting annoyed at your overprotective boyfriend on there?” Kimi asks mockingly.

Seb pouts at him, and Kimi finds it so adorable that he agrees. “Fine I’ll get it, but after we’re done,” Kimi says.

“Done what?” Seb replies.

“This,” Kimi tells him, pulling him down for a kiss, hands sliding down Seb’s body and to his arse.

Kimi is hunched over the porcelain basin, feeling his insides being pulled out of him for the third time this morning. Seb is sitting on the edge of the tub, absently handing him over a damp cloth while browsing on his phone.

"You're doing good. Says here morning sickness is typical: just your mommy hormones doing their job."

Kimi shoots him a glare as he flushes the toilet and wipes his mouth before another wave of nausea hits him. Seb doesn’t notice, too busy looking at his phone while he shoves cereal in his mouth.

"It's about this big this week," says Seb, spoon between his teeth as he gestures with his thumb and index. "What's that? About the size of a wheel nut on our F1 cars?"

Kimi's reply never comes, his hands clutching the toilet once more as Seb rubs his shoulders.

~*~*~*~

Kimi is hanging around the garage as he waits for qualifying to start when he notices a wheel nut lying on a table. Seb's words echo back in his head. He takes it in his hand, rolling it between his fingers methodically. It’s so small, such a tiny thing.

"Everything okay Kimi? Is it defective?" asks one of his mechanics, noticing how concentrated the Finn looks.

"No," Kimi replies, smiling as he looks down at his still flat stomach, "it's perfect."

~*~*~*~

Kimi flinches at the cold gel being spread on his stomach. He’s had ultrasounds before, much like any athlete out there, but this one makes him more nervous than all the previous ones, not that one could tell of course. Sebastian is the one pacing the room, making the technician ask him for the third time to please sit down.

The image starts appearing on the screen as the probe rolls over the flat of his stomach, but Kimi can only see a marbled black and white picture.

“There it is,” she announces, looking at the screen. Kimi can see a sort of cavity on screen with what looks like a peanut inside it. It doesn’t look like a baby at all, and his heart beat picks up because he had gotten used to the idea of having a child and it worries him that he’s not seeing one.

“How can you tell what’s him and what’s the baby?” Seb asks, clearly worried as well.

The technician smiles at them fondly as she moves the probe a little. “What you saw was the baby’s back. This is Kimi,” she says, pointing to the blotches on screen before moving the probe further around closer to Kimi’s side, “and this is the baby.”

Seb reaches for Kimi’s hand as the profile of a fetus appears on screen. They can make out the face from the side, the little nose and lips, and a small hand with distinct fingers. Seb wipes tears from his eyes as he squeezes Kimi’s hand and can see Kimi is trying to discretely do the same.

The technician then lets them hear the drumming heartbeat of their child. Their child, both men muse silently. Their hands squeeze together even harder. In that moment, Kimi forgets all the morning sickness and the fatigue, the frequent urination and the mood swings. He’s having a baby, Seb’s baby, and as far as he’s concerned right now, it’ll be worth every discomfort he’ll have to go through.
