I've recently been informed that I am growing up. I have also recently been informed that I am going on a business trip. I am childishly excited about it because that's something only grownups get to do. I squeal and clap my hands when no one is looking. That partly has to do with the fact that I love flying, but only partly.

I am making candles and soap and knitting hats and scarves for christmas presents this year. There are a few people I need to find other little things for, mostly the boys in the family. I've already got Devon's birthday and Christmas presents taken care of. I've just got to find a few little stocking stuffers. I need to buy chocolate oranges ( Read more... )

Whisper did awesome again at the park today. She is getting so much braver! She actually played with another dog for a minute before running back to hide behind my legs. She was also going up to the smaller dogs to sniff and say hello. I remembered my camera this time so of course, I have to share the pictures!

Life is stressful. But it has it's good moments. Devon got a very exciting new job as a welding apprentice. He starts thursday! I saw my dad. It was interesting, went suprisingly smooth. It was a good visit despite some awkward moments. I'm glad he came to town. That's pretty much it. Halloween is boring when you are a grown up.

My dad is coming to town next month, with his wife of course. I really want to see him, but it's going to be very emotionally difficult and hard. He's getting so old. When I saw him two years ago I didn't even recognize him. He says he's gained some weight so maybe he wont look so sick and frail anymore. He had some serious health problems awhile ( Read more... )

My way too cute new car! It runs really smooth, just has a bad tranny leak. Transmissions are 50 bucks at pull and save. Other than that all it needs is a stereo, some cleaning and seat covers and it just so happens that I got pretty new seat covers for my birthday. Hey all, I posted a week or two ago about a cat a friend wanted us to foster but my hubby didn't want her inside. Well, we took her and she's been inside, seperated from our other indoor only cats. I love it when people come to our house and say, "wow, I can't smell your cats at all!!"

Good stuff! Got our taxes done, won the "double your refund" scratch thing at H&R Block! Our refund wasn't much to begin with so doubling it was definately a God send!
