The other day, when we got our first snow, I was sitting by the large window in the kitchen, eating my breakfast (at one o'clock in the afternoon, I know). I once tried to take photos of peregrine falcons on a dark, misty day: not a good plan.

I like the photo of the cardinal: the changes you Photoshopped in make the snow and the branches look particularly icy, so he looks as though he's fluffing his feathers as far as they will fluff to keep himself warm.
