On Saturday Magnolia gave me a horrible bloody nose first thing in the morning by jabbing her thumb up my nostril. Then last night the cat whacked me in the eye and made a deep puncture next to my eye and bruised the bone. It's rough being a mom. Good thing Nate brought me home lovely flowers on Friday for no reason, it cushion the(literal) blows.

Saturday is Butter and Eggs day in Petaluma and at 10:15am in front of Copperfield's Magnolia is going to be in the Cutest Chick in Town contest. I'm so excited. Her outfit is sooo cute. Pictures will follow for sure.

We just bought our tickets to go to Cancun at the end of July with Cristina and Geoff and Jaimie and Sarah. We're gonna be leaving Magnolia with my mom and dad for a week. I'm nervous and excited. I have the best baby ever. I love her so much. She had to get her 6 month vaccines today and aside from some heart wrenching crying while the shots were administered she has been all smiles all day. It is so beautiful right now. Fall is my favorite time of year. Every afternoon I am overwhelmed by the beauty of the golden october light and the pink sunsets. It would be nice if there was a little chill in the air to really make it feel like autumn but I am sure that I will be missing the Indian summer soon.

Last night when the baby fussed at midnight I woke up and looked at my bed and felt so happy there snuggled next to me was my perfect little baby with the cat curled up at her feet and the man I love`sleeping soundly on the other side of them. It was all so reassuring.
