Hard to believe that it's been a year already.

Tragedy brings us together even as it rips us apart.

No apologies necessary. Ramble as much as you need to, we're glad to listen.

You know you never need apologize for this sort of rambling...

And it's OK to have regrets, but don't let them drag you down.

Take care of yourself, man.

I never got the chance to meet Aaron, but through stories I've heard and read, he is now ingrained in my memory some. I lit a candle last night, and wished him well, wherever he is now.

Sounds like some things run in the family. :) You know, you make me want to be a better person, with your kindness.

I very much treasure the time I get to spend with my niece and nephews right now, because I know as they get older they will hardly think to excitedly show me new schoolwork, or want me to read them a story any more. Kids do their own thing growing up, and their friends will always know more than relatives. I spent a lot more time with one of my aunts when younger, but didn't give her much thought as a teen. Just the way it is. But even so, family is never an intruder.
