Yeah, it's the only way I can reconcile his using that line. It had to mean sooo much to Bill to hear her say those words (you could see it in his face while he continued to hug her), that it seemed wrong to go with that kind of response. Oh hells yes. Squeeus extremus. I do like the assessment of Laura's domestic discomfort. And I agree that The Hub conversation had to have had some sort of precursor to make him say "About time."

*love* that. You have me grinning from ear to ear. I really love that moment in the Hub; I've watched it more times that I can count, and I find I tend to watch their expressions more than what they say (except for Laura's "I love you" -- Mary delivers that sooo well).

This is great. It's nice to see her wanting him, and I like the way you handled his answers on his marriage. I can't wait to read about what happens when her robe comes off! ;-)

And I have to laugh, because I'm actually almost done with my own "about time" fic that explains Bill's Han Solo impersonation. I guess great minds think alike! Fortunately it is very, very different in style, tone and content, so it will hopefully make an interesting contrast. But I'm counting on you to take care of the good sex! ;-)

As I wrote this, I started to want to finally get out on the table a lot of the issues that they should have discussed long ago. It's late, Laura doesn't have any nerves left and so she's pushing Bill -- I think, up until the Hub possibly, we've all been a little frustrated with him (and his mixed signals).

What happens when her robe comes off? You know it's just a game of checkers right? :P Nah, pure pron the rest of the way through.

That's one of the reasons I love the show, there are so many places where fanfic writers can step in and have fun. We're A/R fans, so there are somethings that are going to bother more than one of us. Remember all the fic that came out of Six of One? I can't wait to read your take on "about time"!
