But I got the impression this fic isn't about social criticism, huh? I do like it very much that it's about kissing it all better so the healing can begin.

Hee, no, I was actually worried that it was a bit too angsty for a Christmas gift (and so ended up writing a second fic that I posted for secret santa as flamingo had asked for 'fluffy porn').

And to tip all of it, your Zarek is adorable

Thanks! I love an outside perspective on the A/R relationship, and I do think that Laura and Zarek came to a kind of understanding on New Caprica. I can't make myself ship them at all, though, lol.

Very hot! I love the time after NC but before the cancer. So much room for yearning and secksings without the cancer hanging over their head as the sword of Damocles. They can just worry about unimportant stuff like how appropriate their relationship is until they finally give in to it.

I love that you ended it with A/R from Zarek's point of view. I like fics where Zarek turns out to be human and a good guy. I really thought he was a nice guy after NC. That was of course until they shocked me with the masacre of the quorum.

This was one of my first attempts at writing smut :). I love working with the aftermath of New Caprica, mostly because it was hardly touched on in the show for Bill and Laura (we got plenty for Tigh and Starbuck).

Zarek is very interesting. I don't buy him as a romantic partner for Laura, there's just something too ... slimey about him, but I do enjoy the character. I really thought that the Occupation changed him, for the better, but apparently you can't take the insurgent out of the politician.

too be honest, I only saw DWW years ago. I downloaded it a few weeks ago, but without subtitles. O_o so, I'm looking around for the DVD, that way I can really enjoy all the Mary goodness in it :D

Just found this and guh...so lovely and a healthy helping of angst and memories of what they've been through. And Zarek bearing witness to their tryst (more or less) and finding enough humanity to just let them be...This fic more than holds up over time :-)So much beautiful imagery and hot/sweet secksing!
