So our house didn't get flooded, but it got a little close for comfort. Our community mostly escaped unscathed, though several trees were uprooted and others will have to invest in new shingles. So school is so far cancelled until Thursday, so I hitched a ride with one of my friends who lives in the same area I do. My dad once again skipped out on moving claiming that he had meetings, which I call bull crap because his boss is a Katrina survivor so would completely understand the need to evacuate. BUT ANYWAY.
