Notice to Jupiter...

Last night was the first time I had been to the gym in a week, so I had to make up for lost time. I stayed up half the night between weights, cardio, and post-work out grocery shopping. I find that the best time to do my grocery shopping is after I've run for an hour. If I just spent all of that time burning 800 calories, the last thing I will ( Read more... )

I haven't had Ethiopian in a while, and now I'm totally craving it. I tried making my own injera bread once, and ended up just making pancakes.

Well you are braver than I am. I think that is probably a recipe that frequently goes awry. We got the vegetarian sampler, and they brought it out on a giant piece of injera bread. I won the leftovers so I just rolled it up like a wrap. The entire time I was writing this entry, I kept finding myself at the fridge going to town. Where do you usually go for Ethiopian food?

there's the place that's I near Broadway and John, and then there's another place off 1st and pine. I've only been to each of them one time. I don't get in the mood for ethiopian often, but when I am, there's no stopping me!

Did you go to Queen Shiva (shiba?)? I love that flat bread they serve the food on; although, I'm not keen on a community plate. I tend to get territorial with my food, and when I share a plate, I start from the edges by making a border and working inwards.

lol. yeah there is always an element of strategy involved in communal dining. "He seems to be neglecting the lentils for the pea dish. Maybe I can claim that territory while no one is looking. When he notices, will he try and move in on my cabbage? Are the lentils worth the risk?" Maybe you've discovered why they don't put forks and knives on the table.

were you thinking about this too!

i seriously wanted to rotate the plate (and move it closer) but felt that the unspoken dialogue would have beaten me down!
