Frankly, I wish more people would adopt this attitude. The media disgusts me in general, but it's always particularly bad on this day.

I still ban all media this day. I don't need the journalists each trying to out-eloquent each other, in hopes of plaudits and awards for their intentionally tearjerking coverage.

It's not that I am trying to forget, I just don't need the scar scraped hard every year. There are still nerves in it.
