Okay, if the first few days of January are any indication of how the year will go, 2012 will consist of 1) epic hangovers, 2) glorious runs in beautful cityscapes, 3) colds. Seriously, body, again? It's as if one bug got in and threw a party and then everyone brought their little friends and then it was posted on facebook.

I guess, next to the persistent cold and all, what I really needed for the day to be complete was a huge bottle of green liquid fertiliser all over the living room floor.

It doesn't look so hot on the white couch blanket either :(

Sooo after the knee thing and the being sick thing and the travel thing and everything I was finally back on a reasonable exercise schedule, got over the inner weichei and ran this morning in 1°C weather which is 1K less than Sunday, and now I have a cold.

It is a nice day. This morning it was "cook like they do in the movies" time, so I let V for Vendetta inspire me and made egg in a basket. Today, while attempting to carry out the trash, I finally figured out that my hallway is too damn small by getting my finger caught between two open doors. I smashed my PRs this morning! 26:46 for a 5K and 55:42 for a 10K! Go forth and laugh. I have been informed that a sub 55 minute 10 K is necessary for a sub 2 hour half marathon. So I just came back from what turned out to be a 15K run (I ran 5K laps just in case). My ankle hurt really badly around kilometre 4 and after that it got tolerable and then it vanished (or gave up).

Either the injury isn't so bad after all or I'm really, really stupid. We shall see tomorrow.
