At least remaining at home and minding one's own business seems to be a viable means of survival. Though I do wonder for how long that will remain true.

I truly, truly hope not. The home should be the one place you feel safe, but even staying indoors offers little reassurance.

Yes, I've gathered as much. It seems there is little we can do to escape if they set their minds to it.

I have been doing my best to remain as uninvolved as possible. None of the men in those strange suits have yet seen fit to intrude in my home, thank goodness.

It is entirely worse than I imagined. I honestly don't know what they expect to accomplish by all this....

It's really hard for me to imagine that silly colony that France and England were squabbling over causing all of this. Even with Russia's help.
