Call an ambulance!

Oh man, I made the mistake of watching about ten minutes of "Full House" while I ate lunch.

I think the cloying sweetness and sappy background music have put me into a diabetic coma. Must...watch...the news...

**Edit**

I'm actually going to watch Leave it to Beaver now. Which, for some reason, I LOVE and don't think it's sappy at all. Go figure.

Because I apparently have Hysterical Nineties Television Blindness, I read that as just "House" and could not, for the LIFE of me, figure out WTF you meant at first.

Because, although I love Hugh Laurie and would readily bear his children, I do not associate "cloying sweetness and sappy background music" with Dr. House.

Then I re-read things and realized that I R Dum.

I *wish* I had the ability to block out "Full House."

I really, really do.

Maybe Leave it to Beaver is ok because it makes sense that in the 50's people pretended life was like that.

But in the 90's, it's kind of disturbing to think life works in that way all the time, especially since we grew up during that time and we lived sans background sappy background music.

Plus, those twins were so annoying.

I think you may have something; it's easier to transpose a picture of perfection on the 50's since we weren't there to see the reality.

But, I think it also helps that I love everything that June Cleaver wore, and the boys look so cute in their cuffed jeans and chucks. The nineties fashion that was shown on Full House? Terrifying.

Yeah, didn't Full House seem a lot better when we were 10? I agree, I much prefer Leave it to Beaver to Full House, blah.

I remember when I was little, I would be SO upset if Full House wasn't on because there was a baseball game. Scary to think we were that blind to the sappiness.

I cant watch full house without realizing these people have been in rehab, dated alanis morisette, and became born again christians after many years of struggling with prostitution.
