Well, without giving away too much, all I can say is that I'm aware of what readers generally expect to be warned against in the story header. ;-) and I'm a sucker for happy endings. So whatever happens over the course of the story, just keep that in mind. :D

I don't know, the thought that Sulu seems creepy, even though it's part of the way the story is written, is somewhat funny. But you're right, Bones definitely isn't going to go down without a fight, especially not against something like a virus. I mean, seriously...

Never worry, the next chapter is well under way, and by order of the episode which I'm trying to stick to, I'm only 16 minutes in yet.

I adored the story about Chekov's past and then you had to go and tell me they only have five hours to live?!?

Love that the whole ship is working on it, that they're demonstrating just how different humans are. I adore Bones' fighting spirit and want the observers to suffer the fate they've condemned so many others to.

Please tell me you're writing fast so I'm not sitting here all worried for a long, long time!

Oh, I am writing, I promise you that. It's different writing something based on an episode, but it goes smoothly so far - and we're only 16 minutes in. ;-)

Oh, I love your Chekov! I'm a huge fan of when he's not squeaky clean and him as a bookie is just the greatest image ever. And Bones refusing to go down without a fight and Jim's hesitance were both perfect, too. :)

Oh, I think that there are many hidden depths behind Chekov's young age and brilliant mind. It's more fun that way. :D
