It’s taken a while, but I’ve finally found somewhere, and a few someones that I can justifiably call home. (I haven’t been able to say that since I was a kid.)
They’re gorgeous, all of them.
He’s ancient, alien. She’s young, vibrant. The ship, she’s bigger on the inside than the outside, alive, and telepathic.
They’ve taken me in, given me a chance. Now, I have to prove to the Doctor, Rose and the TARDIS that they’re not wasting their time on me.
I’ve already fallen in love with all of them, and I’ve only been here for two days.

The riverbank, that’s where it all begins. Or where it begins again, to be precise.
In 2001, Lex Luthor’s speeding along in his Porsche, and trying to answer his cell. He can’t avoid the roll of barbed wire on the road, and he crashes into the side of the bridge, taking a boy with him, and ending up in the river...
...Then, he’s still alive, and coughing up water.
He looks up into the eyes of the boy he thought he’d killed. God, he’s beautiful.
It’s the second time Clark Kent has saved his life, but Lex doesn’t know this.

A metal glove that brings back the dead.
A weird knife.
A rift in time and space.
A pterodactyl.
An invisible lift.
A man who can’t die.
Ships in the sky.
Aliens in the sewers.
A device that displays the past and future.
A woman turned into a robot.
Fairies travelling through time.
Time being circular, not linear.
Talk about the impossible, the unbelievable, the inexplicable. If Gwen didn’t know otherwise, she’d think it was all a great big con, a game, a mass hallucination.
But all these strange things do exist.
Torchwood’s often frightening, but Gwen loves her job.

Gwen has been at Torchwood for three months.
Jack doesn’t drive the SUV all the time, but when he does, it’s often rather recklessly; hell for leather through the streets of Cardiff, off on another job.
Owen will just roll his eyes, and mutter under his breath.
Tosh will loudly warn that the speed is rendering her equipment less effective.
Gwen will consider warning Jack about points on his license. Then she will remember that he doesn’t actually have a driving license.
Sometimes, Jack will listen to them, and slow down a bit.
Usually, he will just drive even faster.
