Trying to be mindful:
not to worry
to trust
to let things happen
not to think I can know everything
to wait
to let myself be happy
to live joyously
to enjoy having a body
to practice restraint where it will help
to take time
to be faithful
to know I am broken
to know I am on the mend

I felt triumphant yesterday singing "Christ the Lord is Risen Today." Something was different. It made more sense, felt more real. Alleluia.

Guess who's going to hear a big deal theologian preach tomorrow.... This girl! I'm oddly excited.

A former member of my church in GA is trying to call me out on facebook and tell me that I can't be a pastor because I'm a woman. Excellent. This was the first time! What an eventful reading week I've had!

When I look at my niece's eyes and see hope and smiles in them I know that happiness is meant to be our natural state.

I'm just so jazzed about post-modernism in its many forms.

God has been moving in my life today, knocking things together and pushing things to the front that I maybe didn't want to deal with. I'm continually amazed and humbled.

In honor of my chapter's 71st founder's day, I contacted the STL alumnae to get involved with them. I....feel like I need some more friends. All of mine are slowly finishing degrees and moving away. And everyone's married or in a relationship, so that takes up a ton of time ( Read more... )
