Hmmmm....not convinced about lemon/lime curd, but I have scars from my childhood. I loved coconut pie and occasionally picked up lemon pie at the cafeteria, being a young stupid person, and so I am not fond of lemon flavors in anything but lemon. But for you, I'll try!
I have been waiting for our cool front since Weds, it is still not here. I am hot and annoyed.
My niece-in-law makes lemon curd. And yes, it is to die for. I can't think of many things that wouldn't be better with lemon curd (well, a few, but try it on scones...).
Publix rules! It's our reward for living in the south. I think it exists in other parts of the universe, but I haven't seen it north or west.
Scones, oh my goodness yes. I am also thinking of the sweet sugar-overload of lemon curd on blueberry quickbread.... Mmmm.
Yes, I agree that Publix is a reward for where we live. It's been a joy to watch it change in good ways (more Greenwise items, more healthy options, more imported food) over the years while keeping its Publix spirit. :)
Mmm, lemon curd, especially home made (my old roommate makes it on a regular basis). Also, in:re lemon pie, NOT cafeteria versions nor Marie Calender...too sweet, not enough actual lemon.
Also, for pancake topping, blueberry syrup is quite acceptable, when actual maple is unavailable. (Breakfast food for dinner was one of my fondest childhood memories, only allowed when my father was unable to be home in time to eat with us...)

Alas for your tardy cold front! Hope it arrives for you soon.

Fall will come eventually, right? RIGHT?

Sympathies on the vile weather. Here is hot and getting hotter, with possible thunderstorms later in the week.

(And since I don't keep dessert-y things in my house, it would be good spread on toast to satisfy a dessert-y craving. Win-win.)
Hugs and cooler weather for all of us who need it!

I remember blueberry syrup from long-ago breakfasts and roadside shops like Nickerson Farms. (That might be just a Midwestern thing.)
Hugs hugs!
