Great-grandaddy worked in the mines, died of black lung. An Appalachian gentleman--five kids, one wife, poor as can be. We come from the mountains, know your roots. Saturday I hiked on in to D.C. by my 5'4'' lonesome. Putting up a ferocious & skinny front, I rode the Metro to the Convention Center to go to the Green Festival (website).
