It's been a long time! I feel guilty about abandoning this old journal that served me so well in the past. I should maybe turn it into a sketch blog, or something. Maybe post story snippets? I dunno
( Read more... )
XD How sad, our days look extremely familiar. I've spent the day prettifying my newly subscriptioned journal, since I don't want it to look horrible for the extent of said year subcription, and now have to edit my journal info. ;-; (And make banner/friends only banner).
So much to do, when I should be actually not procrastinating and working on IMPORTANT things - such as my school portfolio.
As for vampire romances...Prime example: Twilight. What's even worse, there's talk about turning said crappy books into a manga *dies*
Don't tell the kids, but I secretly love Twilight. I recognize that they are trite and poorly written, but I can't stop myself. Same with Vampire Diaries? I think so.
Lmao, I have been subscribed since last year, and I haven't even bothered with making a nice, customized layout. Instead I am just like "tee hee, background image is good enough. Now, off to check communities! Super Jess, Away!" Infact, the ONLY reason I did my journal info up all pretty is because I think it looks cool when people have really sleek, organized info. That's it. Coolness.
I am fairly convinced that we are the same person, or maybe twins separated at birth.
Maybe you just like vampires ;p I think what gets to me is the cliche way in which Twilight was written x-x... I admit that there is a vast horizon for improvement and improvisation in the world of vampires, After all, Count Drakula shouldn't be our only guideline for the fictional breed, but... come on...sparkly vampires? And I think the movies just kind of made it worse, which deepened my dislike.
OTL. The only reason I want my journal and info to look nice is for the same reason as you xD coolness factor. I'm totally in for aesthetics (same with art, which is why most of my teachers hate me).
I've actually been thinking about revamping/changing directions with this stupid thing. I just don't like journaling as much as I once did. I'm not interesting. Sketch blog sounds like a good idea, though.
You should use your journal as you will, it's yours afterall. And it does look really nice, Mine was thrown up however way just to get started, thanks for the add, you are wonderful~
Been entertaining myself with terrible fiction - ie: The Vampire Diaries, the show of which already looks lame despite not having even premiered. I understand that it's hard to fathom how a show about vampire romance could be lamer than the vampire romance books that are its counterpart, but I swear it to be true.
I'm a fan of the TV show True Blood so I tried reading the books they're drawing the story from, but I'm finding it hard to get past the 20th page. I'm amazed that someone looked at those books and envisioned a television show that doesn't suck.
i'm being totally presumptuous, but would you maybe want to catch district 9 with me? the ads on the bus are sucking me like a a corset made of duct tape and bad fan fiction
I would love to, but the date is pending. It would have to be a threesome (lol) because Nina and I planned to go together, but she has a severe back injury ATM and so can't really get around too well.
So yes yes yes, but when has a question mark or two.
hawt sexy times. poor nina!! tell her i'm sending her good vibes and virtual T3s (pills, not Terminators. because that would just be mean and unnecessary)
I will be sure to pass that on. She's already on opiates (aka: The Good Stuff TM), but I am sure that the knowledge that she will remain unmolested by robots will be greatly appreciated. :D

BUT MAYBE I'M JUDGING THE BOOKS TOO EARLY.
