Fabulous chapter - With just one look, Jack can make Ennis feel the love that he so rightly deserves - to be loved after a lifetime of neglect.

And Jack is showing his intelligence here - I'm glad that he is thinking long term.

And kudos to the Doc for allowing the boys to see each other.

Great story! Adrianne

I just caught up and reading a lot of chapters and I liked very much how Ennis, with his 18 years, could manage to support Jack and avoid his coming to drugs again. I know it is hard for them to be apart but I guess it was the good thing to do and now they are going to be in the same facility again but I bet Doc will be having his sight over them. Thank you for sharing. Martha

Whenever Jack held me in moments like this, I would see all kinds of colors behind my eyelids; blues, greens, reds, and yellows, all blended together like the sky on the Fourth of July.

Oh my... This story is so rich of these amazing images Ennis seems to come up at different times, and that reveal he truly has the soul of a poet.

He's such a sensitive, vulnerable soul it almost hurts. But he's getting stronger and more motivated now. As the last part of this chapter eloquently showed...

Thank you

An emotional but sweet chapter zhouhua00 November 12 2010, 03:55:09 UTC
Well, the first half of chapter is really sad, with Ennis being so down and broken, but then again, this is what I expect that he had to go through. The second half is a lot better. I can't say enough times - boys, please, please cherish your second chance. I really appreciate what the good Doc did for them, and I hope they will appreciate (looks like Jack does) just the same.

The shirt swap is really sweet, reminding me of the intertwined shirts in the OS/movie. And I won't be surprised if our boys wear them to sleep every night.
