So that garbage is finally gone? Such a strange excuse for a holiday - is there an actual meaning to it, or is it as pointless as it seems?

Though I'm having trouble imagining what importance can be derived from having to clear fake bats from my lab every day for the past week.I suppose it's better than clearing out real bats ( Read more... )

It's a holiday about honoring the spirits of the dead.

I didn't hear of much honoring going around.

And where do bats and plastic vermin fit in?

People rarely remember what their celebrations are meant for.

I think the bats and things are to scary away evil spirits.

I thought as much. So it's the same as any other holiday around here.

Why would spirits be afraid of vermin?

Whine a little more, see if anyone cares.

I'm asking simple questions, I'm not going to simplify them further.

I'd figure an annoyance of a scientist like you would enjoy a few frozen stiffs to dissect.

What's the matter? Don't like flying mammals?

I'll take what I can find, but if they die and lose something interesting, it's a waste.

I don't care about them one way or another, as long as they're not in my house.

[You deserved it, asshole. >:| But he won't say anything. Because Sasuke is already hanging out with creepers without Zuko making it worse.]

[Notices the 'reply', such as it is. And Mayuri totally doesn't creep, he's very direct.]

No helpful commentary?

No.

When we celebrated it back home, there were much less fake bats and ghosts.

Is it such a common holiday? And what did you have instead?

Sort of? It wasn't called Halloween though, it was mostly just a harvest celebration. At the castle they'd throw a big feast, but I liked it more back in Ealdor, when we'd have big bonfires.

I don't know where all this cand business came from, it's quite strange.

Harvest celebrations are common enough, but whatever this place has doesn't have much resemblance to one. For one thing, there's no harvest.

It's pretty pointless, as far as I'm concerned.

It seems that way, but at least it's over with.

I'm glad the bats are gone.

I'm glad all of it is.

...I don't think I know you, so more importantly - what sort of abilities do you have?
