That sounds wonderful, but alas, I read it today, and today happens to be Wednesday the 26th.
We are all the same looking to buy raw milk, cheese and a pig from these folks, because we have not found anyone locally that does naturally raised pork.
And I loves me bacon and loins, and me sweeties like da ribs.
We just got a 1/4 cow split with another couple, and I'll gladly buy the whole 1/4 ourselves next time. Soooo worth it.
You saw their web site, it has their contact info. I talked to Pete for a while and they have the J stamp of approval for nice people (in as far as you can tell in 10 mins :).
Milk and cheese is something they're working on making a CSA for.
They're also moving to Fort Scott, most likely. But they'll still be doing a weekly drop off in Overland Park. It's complicated, but it has to do with the farm not supporting their current mortgage payment. The new place is bought outright, I think.
I'd recommend getting on their newsletter. It also has their product list and prices. I can attempt to forward you one if you want, but it's in HTML and my forwarding thinggie changes it all to plain text (doesn't seem to have an either or function).
Moving? Aw rats. But yeh, the guy J knows who used to raise lotsa pigs humanely just shut down his operation for the same sort of reasons. Said it's just too hard to make it.

If you're going to buy a whole pig, or partial, they are still worth looking into :), at least IMO
