Most horrible news is that colinportnuff, top bloke and a good friend, died on Sunday. He also had als/mnd, though he, unlike me, had the bulbar onset version which involves early problems with speech, swallowing and, crucially, breathing, with limb weakness happening later. We went out on Saturday and not just to the football, we went shopping! To Teeside Retail Park, which is a curious place, it's like the complement of a standard shopping mall. The car parks and road are in the middle with shops on 3 sides. Not very practical for the shoppers either as it means lots of walking in the cold and wet to get between ( Read more... )

We had a bit of an incident yesterday. Nothing serious -- I was laughing but Mam was a bit upset at first. She started to cut my hair with the clippers but forgot to put the guard on. So I have a patch of very very short hair at the back. What's she like? :)

At the football the other week I was thinking about how handsome Luton Town's number 7 was. This happens surprisingly rarely as, usually at least, I'm more interested in the action than who's hot and who's not. Shocking behaviour I know.
